Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: August 28, 2026
This page explains how to delete your OmniPost account and everything we store about you. You can do it yourself from inside the app in under a minute, or email us and we will do it for you. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
1. Delete your account from Settings
The fastest way is directly in the app:
- Sign in at tryomnipost.com/login.
- Open Settings from the sidebar.
- Scroll to the Danger zone section at the bottom of the page.
- Click Delete account, then confirm in the dialog that appears.
Once you confirm, deletion runs straight away and you are signed out. There is no waiting period, no grace period, and no recovery step — we do not keep a soft-deleted copy of your account.
2. What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes all of the following:
- Your account — your OmniPost login and email address are erased from our authentication system.
- Connected social accounts and their OAuth tokens — the access tokens and refresh tokens we hold for your YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram connections are destroyed, along with the stored platform username and user ID for each. Once these are gone OmniPost can no longer act on your behalf on any platform.
- Uploaded videos — every video file you uploaded is removed from our private storage bucket. Video files are stored under a folder keyed to your account, and that entire folder is emptied as part of deletion.
- Post history — your drafts, scheduled posts, captions, titles, per-platform publishing records, and any pending OAuth connection attempts are all removed.
Your video files are deleted first, and only then is the account itself removed — so if anything goes wrong with the file deletion, the process stops and reports an error rather than leaving your videos behind on a deleted account.
3. What is not deleted
Two things fall outside our control, and you may want to action them separately:
- Content already published to a platform — videos that OmniPost has already posted to YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram continue to live on those platforms. They belong to your account there, not to us. Delete them through the platform directly.
- The app authorisation on the platform’s side — deleting your OmniPost account destroys our copy of your tokens, which is enough to stop OmniPost accessing your account. If you also want to remove the OmniPost entry from your platform’s connected-apps list, revoke it in the security settings of Google, TikTok, or Instagram.
Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) are retained briefly for security and debugging as described in our Privacy Policy. These contain no video content and no OAuth tokens.
4. Disconnect a single platform instead
If you only want to stop OmniPost posting to one platform but keep your account, you do not need to delete anything. Go to Accounts in the sidebar and click Disconnect on that platform. This deletes the stored tokens and connection record for that platform only, and leaves your account, videos, and post history intact.
5. Request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in — or you would simply rather we handled it — email tobitokuro@gmail.com with the subject line “Delete my account”, sent from the email address registered to your OmniPost account so we can verify the request.
We will confirm once the deletion is complete. Requests are actioned within 30 days, and in practice far sooner. The result is identical to deleting from Settings: the same account, tokens, videos, and post history are removed.
